Self-guided Tours - Taree
“Hands-on history” is the theme of History Week 2022. It’s time to use your hands to discover Taree’s history. So grab your phone or tablet, download the MidCoast Stories web app and start exploring. There are three self-guided trails available and they are all free! Join MidCoast Stories for the official launch of their heritage trails. Festivities will take place at Taree Railway Station where one of the trails is based.
Free morning tea will be supplied by the CWA using recipes from 1913 – the year the railway came to Taree. Be the first to engage with stories of the railway and our local community. Relive the dangers, hardships and curiosities of a by-gone age: expect the unexpected. It's time to get “hands-on” and start making tracks!
