Exhibition: Gifford Eardley
Campbelltown City Library will be displaying some of the works of Gifford Henry Eardley (1899 – 1974).
Eardley was first and foremost a railway enthusiast, and this is what he is known best as. However he was also a pencil sketch artist, who took his pencils and sketchbook everywhere with him. Many old cottages, bridges, churches and rural scenes were accurately recorded and Campbelltown Library is lucky to hold some of Gifford’s sketches of old buildings of Campbelltown, some of which still stand, many of which are long gone.
