True stories in an intimate style will be shared by Kate Leigh known as the Underworld Queen of Surry Hills. Learn about her infamous rise to power in the company of her partners in crime Snowy (magic fingers) Mackenzie and Bludger (banjo playing) McGurk for a unique immersive experience.These villains will take you back in time to the 1920's and '30's razor gang world, sharing their tricks of the trade. Watch out for your wallet and beer, they may disappear! Jazzy Cafe Bar is the premises where Kate Leigh lived towards the end of her life, still operating her business - sly grog. An exclusive performance for 20 people only where classic inner city Sydney stories will be told. Starring: Vashti Hughes, Dale Trueman and Ross Johnston.
The night begins at 6.00 pm on a discreet Surry Hills back-alley corner - Little Riley St and Steel Lane. Look out for the shifty character who knows the password to enter the premises of Kate Leigh, the underground Queen of Sydney of Surry Hills in her own Devonshire St home.
A true intimate community event. Meet someone new at shared tables! On arrival an antipasto plate will be served before showtime at 7 pm. Dessert will be served after the show. Vegan option available. Please email snazzy@jazzycafebar.com.au for any dietary requirements.
