In person talk
Woollahra Library is conducting a walking tour featuring historical highlights of the suburb of Bellevue Hill. Join members of the Local History staff to learn about the early development of the suburb, then enter the head of the Cooper Park gully to discover some of the area’s early industry and hear the story of its 1930s transformation into a gardenesque recreation ground.
Tour begins on Bellevue Road at the Bus Stop nearest to the Victoria/Bellevue Road intersection, opposite the Post Office, and finishes at the foot of the gully. Walk both begins and ends near stops on the 327 bus route, connecting walkers to Bondi Junction or Edgecliff Stations.
Please note that this tour is not a 'loop' walk; Tour experience is enhanced with a Tour Guide’s audio system (hearing loop compatible) - BYO headphones or use ours. Appropriate walking and weather attire recommended for 2 hour walk, and please bring water. Walk will include several staircases and there will be no toilets available until the end of the route.
