In person talk
Objects can bring history to life, adding texture, emotion and complexity to how we understand our past and our present. This year, Macquarie University History Museum and the Department of History and Archaeology will host a special panel event for History Week, “Voices from the margins”. This panel discussion will highlight objects held in the museum related to the history and activism of groups and communities whose voices are often marginalised, with a particular focus on First Nations and women’s history.
"Voices from the Margins" is an opportunity for the public to not only visit the museum, but to also hear the stories behind some of the unique objects held in the collection.
