Dr Peter Hobbins: Building a bridge and connecting an empire – the British fleet visit of 1924

Dr Roland Leikauf: Good health and gold bars – greeting Vietnamese boat arrivals in the 1970s

Join our curators for a personal tour of a major artwork or a former navy vessel.

• Dr Peter Hobbins will present the context and content of our wonderful 1924 painting of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

(15 minutes; visitor limit: 15)

• Stirling Smith will share the history – and stories – of our TV star patrol boat, HMAS Advance. This tour is offered for those with suitable mobility, as it includes steep ladders and tight spaces.
