Discover Macquarie Lighthouse Tour


Explore Macquarie Lightstation, the site of Australia’s first lighthouse, and discover about the history and recent developments behind this iconic Sydney landmark. With your knowledgeable guide, you will discover why the lighthouse was constructed and how it has supported sailors for over 200 years. You’ll also learn about the importance of this area for First Nations peoples and the dramatic changes to the coastline since the last ice age. Access to the lighthouse is exclusive to this tour, don’t miss out.

 

Accessibility Information: Due to its heritage nature, this tour is not accessible for people with wheelchairs, mobility scooters or prams. Visitors are required to climb 100 stairs and navigate through small spaces to access the balcony. This tour is not recommended for people with a fear of heights or heart conditions.

Cost: $40 per adult, $24 per concession card holder.
